Internet Software Product Manager

Franchise Software Systems (FSS), a division of Digital Internet Group Inc., is seeking an experienced Product Manager for its Franchise Resource Center intranet software products.

Our Franchise Resource Center (FRC) intranets are a suite of web applications specifically developed for the franchise and multi-location market with an emphasis on marketing, operations, support and training. Our FRC products help franchise and multi-location companies reduce costs, ensure brand conformity, avoid litigation and help sell franchises.

The Franchise Resource Center is superior to similar products offered by our limited competitors in terms of design, functionality and versatility. In addition, our applications are customizable and we have pricing options that make our solutions affordable to franchise and multi-location companies with 10-2,500 locations. In fact, the FRC Standard Edition is free, in an attempt to create market awareness and secure market share.

Franchise Software Systems markets its Franchise Resource Center products to franchise and multi-location companies throughout North America. We fulfill our clients expectations through our in-house designers, programmers, project managers and marketing professionals. Franchise Software Systems is a division of Digital Internet Group, Inc., based in London, Ontario.

About the Job:

Our new Product Manager will be responsible for identifying and marketing the FSS division’s products and services. The successful candidate will also assist in developing business value propositions for our FSS products and solutions. You will drive market share with your product knowledge, account management skills, sales ability and superior client focus. The position is based in our head office in London, ON.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating market awareness and securing market share for our free FRC Standard Edition
  • Responsible for marketing new products and services to current and future FRC Standard Edition clients
  • Responsible for FRC Enterprise Edition lead generation and sales by leveraging product knowledge with product demonstrations and by overcoming objections to  close sales
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients by phone, email, mail, advertising and trade shows
  • Conduct FSS product and service demonstrations remotely (using GoTo Meeting) and at potential client locations
  • Capture non-standard contract/project requirements
  • Provide post-sales support

 

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of internet and software sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand and articulate needs and overcome objections
  • Ability to articulate FSS products and services with prospective clients
  • Must be flexible, dependable and capable of quickly learning new products, strategies and technology directions of various projects
  • University marketing degree or equivalent experience required
  • Local, National, and International travel to prospective and current client sites in support of pre and post marketing efforts

Intermediate/Senior ASP, ASP. NET Developer

We are proud of our reputation as a top-notch, creative, professional solutions provider with personal, attentive service. We are currently looking for an Intermediate/Senior ASP, ASP. NET Developer for our London office.

Your role consists of:

  • Working on various projects involving the latest web technologies
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional specification, design, development, testing and documentation
  • Analyzing and conceiving reliable and scalable software solutions dealing with data and transactions
  • Integrating new technologies and third party components
  • Supporting and improving existing systems with new services and components
  • Quality control and testing
  • Writing technical documentation as required
  • Provide reliable estimates and deliver according to those estimates to ensure successful on-time completion of projects
  • Identify new ways to improve existing code and deployments

 

The successful candidate should meet the following profile:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in web development, both client and server side

  • Minimum 2 years in software systems development with MS Access and SQL databases
  • Excellent knowledge of object-oriented designs
  • Extensive knowledge of the following technologies:
  • asp and asp.net Development (VBScript, JScript)
  • Microsoft SQL Server
